Curious George Birthday Party

This was my son Vikaas's 2nd birthday party. He is a major fan of Curious George and we thought this theme would be absolutely perfect for him.

Most of my inspirations for decorations were from the websites Hostess with the Mostess and Kara's Party Ideas. I found lots of ideas for the party from pinterest and various sites on the internet as well.

Most of the decorations were designed by me on Photoshop using images of Curious George that were available on the internet. The invitation was customized from a free printable available here.

I designed this banner in Word using the basic colors of yellow and red.

The banana candy was not captured well here but it looked really cute.

The centerpiece was very simple with a stuffed monkey, 2 books of Curious George 1 in yellow and 1 in red and a bunch of bananas.

I got the ideas for these cute plate and cup ideas from here.

Monkey cupcakes are homemade and so are the cupcake toppers. :-)

We just had a few balloons from Party City.

The kids as well as the birthday boy loved the fruit kabobs as well.

We played a few simple games such as Pin The Hat, Monkey See/Monkey Do and George Says (instead of Simon says)

Homemade birthday cake. Looked pretty good even though I was a little nervous.
